The Sewing School was established in 2007, providing a range of day or evening sewing courses in dressmaking, tailoring, soft furnishing and creative subjects. We started to sell haberdashery in 2009 after it came apparent that our sewing students were finding it difficult to source haberdashery locally.

Three lovely students came along to our in person own choice evening class. outcomes tonight - 1. attached a notched collar to a jacket 2. fitted straps to a summer dress and also progressed with the skirt section. 3 produced shirring on a sewing machine.

More creations from our cushion course today. Next scheduled cushion courses are on Sunday, the 5th of July or Sunday, the 9th of August. Students usually make two cushions during the day, these could be piped, ruffled, knife edged, envelope or buttoned. It’s your choice. For more details or book, go to our website.
