Culturapedia Culturapedia works creatively with the people of Lancashire to give ideas legs. We are based in Blackburn, but open to working with all like minds, everywhere.

We work to support communities to select and host live arts events on their doorstep. We are passionate about enabling people to feel that the arts are for them, on their own terms. We produce our own projects, but very happy to talk through ideas and collaborate.

Get stuck in and make a sock monster friend! Try to join at the beginning of the session so Adventure Arts can help you make your puppet.

Adventure Walks

An intrepid explorer has come from Adventure Arts to create a brand-new story. One that is completely improvised, never-before-heard, 100% made up on the day. And they need your help…

Working as a team, you will accompany the explorer on a mini walk, all contributing to the creation of a unique story by taking inspiration from everything that surrounds you! See Blackburn through fresh eyes, and who knows what amazing adventures can be conjured up!

Times: 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm

Culturapedia are bringing Bernadette Russell to the this weekend. 

Explore the theme of “Our (Extra)ordinary Lives” through a storytelling workshop in the Library on Saturday (12 pm) and over a drink in on Sunday (12pm)

ALSO enjoy her part stand-up, part storytelling performance on Saturday in the library (3 PM) and on Sunday in The Drummers Arms (1 pm). Bernadette reflects on her mission to ‘be kind to a stranger every single day for a year ’, attempting to answer the question: “is it possible to change the world just by being kind?”

Spot On Lancashire has pioneered a model for bringing professional performing arts directly into the heart of local communities. By utilising libraries - recognised as democratic, accessible, and inclusive spaces - high-quality cultural experiences are available to residents without the need to travel to major urban centres.
