Not the post we wanted to be writing… but this is now the third time our van has been vandalised in less than eight months
😩 This van sits at the bottom of Mowbray Drive — it’s our old delivery van. In the evenings it's used to transfer stock, and during the day it helps customers find us with the billboards on the side. It’s a lifeline for our little family business 🧑🧑🧒🧒💙
Each time the windows have been smashed, there’s never been a brick, stone, or anything left behind… which we find rather odd. It’s left us asking the question: is this just kids messing about, or is someone deliberately targeting us? Who knows. What we do know is that we’re big believers in karma 🙏🏼 it served us well for over 14 years, and we’ll continue to trust that what you put out into the world eventually comes back around 🫶🏼
Replacing windows, repairing damage, and constantly picking up the pieces isn’t sustainable for a small family business. Every time something like this happens, it’s money that could have gone towards wages, growing the business, or simply keeping things running smoothly while juggling family life and kids’ commitments. Running a business is hard enough without the added stress of senseless damage.
With the help of our technical man, the van now has 24‑hour CCTV installed. We’re hoping this helps us identify whoever thinks this is acceptable, and stops it happening again.We’re sharing this to raise awareness and ask for a bit of community support. Small businesses like ours rely on the people around them, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to stand by us.

P.S. Some of you will notice the sign we had to put in the windscreen, pointing customers up to the top of Mowbray Drive. That was after several customers told us they’d been sent in the opposite direction by another business. We didn’t lower ourselves to their level, we left it to karma. And safe to say… karma did its job, and that business soon closed its doors 🙌🏼
