The wait is over. 🩰✨

Two things. Both big. Both something we’ve been dreaming about for a long time.

Firstly Costume Lounge will now be stocking Bloch and Capezio. Dance shoes and dancewear from two of the most iconic names in the industry, available right here from us. No more searching around. No more ordering from multiple places. Everything your dancer needs, in one place!!! We’ll be stocking more brands too!

Second! our doors are opening!!!! Which means we are now no longer ‘appointment only’ 👏🏻

In September, Costume Lounge will be open as a proper studio space where you can come and see us, try things on, touch the fabrics, and bring your vision to life in person.

We’re based in the most beautiful building right in the heart of Blackpool on Church Street!

We’ve been working towards this for so long and the shop is truly something special ✨

We cannot wait to welcome you through the door. ✨

Something BIG is coming to Costume Lounge 👀

We’ve been sitting on this for a while now and honestly keeping it to ourselves has been the hardest part.

Saturday at 10am we’re going to share it and we are so excited! 🤩

We’re not going to give anything away. But we will say this, it’s something we’ve been building towards for a long time.
And we think you’re going to love it.

Hercules. What a brief to receive. 💪🏻

When a dance school comes to us with a vision like this, a full cast of Greek gods, heroes and mythical characters, honestly it’s the kind of project that gets us out of bed in the morning.

Every costume designed from scratch. Every detail considered. Built to perform under stage lighting and look incredible from every seat in the house.

Whatever your vision is, however big, however detailed, however specific, we want to hear it.

The deep breath. The tiny shake of the hands. The moment she looks out at the stage and decides she’s ready.

This is why the costume matters. Not for the people watching.

And then there’s this one.

All white. Every detail in silver and pearl. The kind of tutu that makes the whole room go quiet for a second when it comes out.

We keep going back to watch the reel back. Just because.

From the mannequin to the moment.

This one started as a mood board full of garden florals and soft pinks and a teacher who knew exactly the feeling she wanted her dancers to have on stage.

So we built it. Petal by petal. Layer by layer. Each flower placed by hand until it felt exactly right.

Hot pink and gold embroidery.

There’s something about a classical ballet costume done really well that just takes your breath away a little. The way the skirt sits. The way the gold scrollwork follows every line of the bodice. The tulle wrist cuffs that catch the air every time she moves.

We put a lot into this one.

The embroidery detailing alone took longer than we’d like to admit.

This is what we mean when we talk about bespoke. Not just a costume in the right size but something that is unique to you! ✨

We keep walking past this one just to look at it.

This started as a conversation about a routine. A vision for something that felt completely otherworldly. Underwater. Ethereal. The kind of costume that makes the audience forget to breathe for a second when she walks out.

So that’s what we made.

Iridescent sequins that shift colour every time she moves. A hand-detailed bodice in coral and pink with gems running all the way down the centre. Layers of blue and teal organza pooling at the floor.

It took a while. It always does when something matters this much.

But this is why we do it. This is the whole point of bespoke. Not just making something that fits, making something that couldn’t exist anywhere else. Something that was made for one routine, one dancer, one moment on stage.

We’re a little bit obsessed with it if we’re honest. 🧜‍♀️🩰
