Blackpool Dance Store is so excited to have been adopted and welcomed into the World Dance Masters family! 🌍💃

After closing at 2 pm, I popped into the Empress Ballroom to do a bit of “recon” on the incredible outfits, costumes, and energy on the floor. To see dancers from all over the globe—Australia, South Africa, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Wales, and beyond—bringing the ballroom to life is what Blackpool is all about!

Thank you to everyone who has popped by Topping Street so far. We’re right around the corner for all your last-minute dancewear, fabrics, accessories, and emergency competition kit! ✨

'It was bizarre that Blackpool - the capital of dance - didn't have a dedicated ballroom and Latin store...so I opened one'

Blackpool Dance Store opened a few months ago, on Topping Street, and now welcomes customers from all over the world, who are in town competing at the BlackpoolDanceFestival and other events at the Winter Gardens Blackpool and The Blackpool Tower ballroom.

Nathan Hughes explains how he has brought two stunning outfits - originally worn by Ranvir Singh and Nadiya Bychkova on - to now be on display in his shop window Blackpool Dance Store on Topping Street and for sale at a fraction of the price of many similar costumes.

A quick grapevine across the Irish Sea... or a 10,000-mile flight from Australia! ✈️💃

We don’t even open until tomorrow, but World Dance Masters competitors have already taken over Blackpool Dance Store this week!

We only opened our doors in October 2025, but we’re already taking notes for next year. Diaries are marked for the Crystal Boot Awards in January and WDM 2027!
