Just a wee update from Mary’s Fairies ✂️

I am still taking in alterations, however turnaround times are currently a bit longer than usual while I work through a very busy spell.

At the moment, I’d really appreciate only non-urgent alterations being brought in where possible 💛

Just a wee note from me at Mary’s Fairies ✂️

I won’t be taking in any new alteration work today and tomorrow (Wednesday) while I get caught up with the orders I already have in.

Thank you so much for keeping me so busy and for all the lovely recommendations and support, it really does mean a lot 💛

I’ll update again as soon as I’m able to take on more alterations.

A wee reminder from Mary at Mary’s Fairies ✂️

As many of you know, I’ve moved into Fair Fantoosh - Bo'ness, sharing the shop with my lovely daughter Lauren.

I’ve had quite a few people popping in recently saying they didn’t realise we offer alterations and dry cleaning, and that they’ve been travelling out of town for these services.

So just a little reminder that you can get these done right here in Bo’ness.

You’re very welcome to pop into the shop and have a chat. We always try to offer good service and fair prices, and we’re happy to help.

Shop Update for Today

Both of Mary's Fairies and Fair Fantoosh - Bo'ness are closed again today.

Mary is feeling better, but she’s not quite back to herself yet, and i would much rather she takes the time to properly recover than risk going backwards.

I, Lauren, will be back in the shop tomorrow for all your Frenchic paint, lampshade, and general creative needs or wants.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for Frenchic paint today, you can pop over to Giraffe Blinds at 65 Bute Street, Falkiek. If you’d like to message me or them first to check they have what you need in stock, that’s absolutely fine.

If Mary has already contacted you to say your alterations are ready to collect, I’ll be there tomorrow to hand them over.

If you have hems or alterations that you’ve pinned yourself and you’re confident they don’t need Mary to check them, you’re very welcome to drop them in. For anything urgent, it may be best to hold off just for now, as i'm not entirely sure when Mary will be back in.

Dry cleaning can still be dropped off:
• Drop off between 11am and 12pm and it will go tomorrow and be ready back Friday
• Drop off after 12pm and it will likely go on Friday and be ready back Tuesday

From 6/01 /26, there’ll be a small adjustment to my prices for alterations

This reflects the time, materials, and care that go into each piece, and helps keep things sustainable while still staying fair and local.

Prices may vary depending on the garment and the work required. I’ll always try to confirm the cost before starting, sometimes I don't know how much I need to do straight away but I will always try to give you a ballpark figure.

If you’ve been here before, thank you. Truly.
And if you’re new, you’ll always get the same careful work and attention I’d want for my own clothes.

As always, if you’ve any questions, just ask.
