A beautiful wartime and forever love story 💘

This authentic 1948 wedding dress was worn by its original bride Lucy, on this day the 17th July 1948. The young Maltese lady met her future husband Leslie in Malta in 1947 when they were both serving in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. They were rapidly drawn to each other and by the time of Les’ demob, they were engaged to be married.

The couple began their new life together in England and were married in Cheadle on this day in 1948, where this beautiful gown was worn. Today is fitting that we share this beautiful gown marking a special love story that is 78 years old. This remarkable piece of history has been lovingly restored so that its story can continue 💘

The dress is accompanied by its original cathedral length veil, beautifully embroidered with delicate wedding bells, making this an exceptional complete bridal ensemble 😍
