Formed in 1974 The London Owls is an active supporters club for Wednesdayites living in London and the south east. The London Owls arrange travel to most games, home and away, outside the London area, as well as suggesting meeting places so that we can get together and have a drink before the game.

Wednesday friendly ends in goalless draw

Wednesday’s pre-season friendly at Hallam FC this evening ended in a 0-0 draw. We fielded two separate teams for each half, in a squad largely made up of youngsters and three triallists. The full line-ups were: First half: Stretch, Triallist, Emery, McGhee, Johnson, Fusire, Thornton, Triallist, Grainger, Bayliss, Moses. Wednesday continue our pre-season preparations with a ‘sold out’ friendly at Hallam FC this evening. Joe Lumley has joined Wednesday on a free transfer following keeper Pierce Charles’ move to Manchester City. Wednesday’s new home kit has been unveiled today. The Umbro shirt displays the Wednesday Owl badge of yesteryear, making a return on the front of the traditional collared blue and white stripes design. It will be available from early next month and fans can pre-order the 2026-27 home kit and training wear now via the club’s brand-new online store. Fixture changes for live TV games

Two of our early season League One fixtures have been chosen for live coverage on Sky Sports. The opening home league game against Bradford City, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 22, will now be played on Thursday, August 20, kick off 8pm. Our trip to Peterborough on Saturday, September 5, will be a 12.30pm kick off. Meanwhile, Blackpool’s visit to S6, originally scheduled for Saturday October 31, now moves to Sunday, November 1, at 2pm, to avoid both Wednesday and Sheff U playing at home on the same day.
