“Please put your hair in a ponytail.”



Not because I’m strict, but because sewing machines and loose hair are not friends. Safety first, creativity second.

My students hear this so often they probably say it in their sleep now.
Can you guess why this rule is so important?

Giovana — we didn’t even share a language. We used Google Translate and she still made a tissue holder.
Faye — saw me teaching and I asked if she wanted to try sewing. It was a big yes!
Gabriella — started a conversation and ended up sewing too.
