We are a small family business established in 1876 and undoubtably one of the five oldest in Boston, Lincolnshire. Currently owned by Richard Cheer who is the fourth generation and great grandson of the founder Albert Cheer (born 16/05/1849, died 25/03/1919). The company is a clothing retailer and prides itself on offering a complete range of menswear/workwear. The store has two departments, on ou

r ground floor we have an extensive range of workwear, footwear (wellingtons, steel toecap boots) waterproof clothing, chefs wear, country wear and leisurewear. Notable brands include Wrangler, Caterpillar, Hoggs, Barbour & Morley. On our first floor we offer a complete range of traditional menswear, notable brands include Maggee, Gurteen, Peter England, Viyella & Brook Tavener. Having started trading before the invention of electricity and the lightbulb, through the reigns of six Monarchs and two World Wars it can be confidently stated that the company has seen plenty of changes during its 139 years of existence! What is for certain is that A.Cheer & Sons have kept traditional values of providing quality, personal service to its customers very close to its core.
