So we have been a little quiet on here since our return from Festival of Quilts. To be honest we have both felt really exhausted 🥱
Although it's a little belated we just wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone who shopped with us, or just came to take a look at what we have.
There were times when we were incredibly busy, so apologies if you had to wait a while, and thank you for your patience. Quilters are such lovely people 💕
Something I did manage to do was to attend an evening talk by Ricky Tims. I have long been a fan of his work and his presentation was a great mix of quilting stories and his personal journey, interspersed with his inspiring music. I was also allowed (😉) a few minutes away from our stand on Sunday to have a quick scoot around and got to see his fantastic winning quilt 'The Visitation'. There is a video on YouTube is which he discusses the inspiration behind it.
The quilts on display were phenomenal and I'm kind of disappointed that I couldn't get to see more. But I've included a few that stood out for me. I urge you to visit The Festival of Quilts page to see images of the winners and runners up.
