Snug Creations – modern hand knitted accessories and unique nursery and children's room decor. I am Gem - owner, designer and knitter of Snug Creations.

All of my products are hand knitted by myself in my home studio close to the sea near Bournemouth on the south coast of England. My love of knitting began in 2006 when I became envious of a friend’s endless collection of hand knitted accessories – they were gorgeous and I could not get over the quality compared to what was available on the high street. I was determined to learn to make my own uniq

ue knitwear that no one else would have and spent many an evening glued to YouTube, where I taught myself to knit. I've been a yarn-addict ever since! I soon started receiving requests from friends and family from baby booties and blankets to cases for iPhones. As my skills grew, I set up and ran local 'knit-night’ where I taught many people in my community to knit. I also ran knitting clubs for primary school children in two London primary schools. It was around then that I started to dream of knitting for a living…

My designs are often traditional in origin, but with a contemporary twist. Living by the sea, I am inspired by the beach and the great outdoors to create knitwear for those special family moments, whether you need to wrap up against the elements or cosy up indoors. From everyday accessories to special heirloom gifts for new-born babies to be treasured for years to come, this is the place to come. When I design products, I carefully select beautiful, natural yarns that look stunning, feel luxurious and suit the product’s purpose. I've had a bit of a mental block about selling everything off and closing down, but it's time to bite the bullet.

Over the coming days, I will be posting my remaining stock at reduced prices and free UK postage.

A lot of my product listings on Etsy have expired and rather than renewing them there, everything will be listed here.
