Whether it is colour matching to an existing project, photographing different yarns together to ensure you get the perfect combination of colours, or just being on hand to discuss your lastest yarn obsession, Sconch is here to help. Sconch stocks products from many of the leading brands of yarns, all available for same day despatch. We are on hand seven days a week to deliver an unbeatable level of personal service. Sconch may not be the biggest (yet!) but aims to be the best for service and price. So in a vain attempt to make sure everyone sees our upcoming event, here's post 1 of 7432 🙈🤣

It turns out a whole heap of you didn't even know we had a party for WWKIP so make sure you share this for us pleeeeeease!

Saturday 1st August, 10-3pm, we will be celebrating Sconch becoming an unruly teenager (and boy, aren't we seeing that already with the last few months that we've had!!)

Kids Summer Workshops (for children aged 8+) covering a whole heap of amazeballs yarn crafts.

We've got lovely DBS checked experienced tutors and snacks haha! Plus all materials are included!

We've got discounts if you book more than one class (see website for details) and we've also got sibling discounts available. Please message or email for the sibling discounts though, as they're not automatic on the website ☺️

Shortened Opening Hours!

Tuesday 24th-Friday 26th June, 9:30-2pm

Yes, it sucks, but we've had to make the rather rubbish decision to shut early for the next 3 days (starting today). It's actually a fairly ok temperature in the shop for *most* of the day (although it starts to get fairly uncomfortable by about 2-3pm based on yesterday). But the reality is, nobody is wanting to come yarn shopping in 38 degrees.

You all know we've had the worst several months, and this sort of feels like the nail in the coffin. We try and prepare for the summer months (ie 3 weeks in August 🤣) being deathly quiet, but this crazy heatwave has knocked us sideways.

It just doesn't seem sensible paying to have the shop open later in the afternoon when it is going to be just us here (we saw 1 person yesterday after 1pm! The High Street was *understandably* dead).

Hopefully Saturday will have cooled down and we'll be back to normal opening hours.

Please, pleeeeeeeeeease consider ordering online, I'll still be packing post (in between early school pick ups - yes, trying to juggle those too!) and sending post daily, and we could reeeeeally do with a boost in online sales right now 🥹

(ALL C'n'C groups will run as normal - including Thursday evening!)

So full disclosure, today was quieter than I'd have liked for an event day. And when I say quieter, I mean tumbleweed levels at some points.

This is traditionally always our quietest event of the year (and we've been doing it for 12 years!) but today was quite sad to be honest.

Was it the day? Was it the weather? Did you know it was happening?

We've got our birthday event in August and I need to know what you want to get you all joining in... So ideas gratefully received!

A massive thank you to all of you who did come and join us, we had a good giggle, made some pretty things and drank some lovely prosecco! 🩷

On the plus side, we had an awesome Fair Isle class in the afternoon run by the amazeballs Anni Howard which I joined (I never get to do classes!) and I learnt so much. It was lovely to sit and eat cake and learn new things 😍

I'm definitely going to be doing the Steeking class in July now!!
