Just a quick note to say I’m here to give advice and signpost, but I have been inactive for a while because we are undergoing renovations, so all my millinery supplies are in storage. I will post when I’m ready to continue.

Just to say, as we have moved (still local) and are in the middle of renovations, everything is in storage. I’m happy to give free advice and suggestions, so do keep in touch. Hope to be up and running again in 2024.

Creativity went on pause over the past year with no weddings or other events on the horizon, however, I’ve been back in my millinery workshop again and am happy to be approached for fascinator/hat hire or purchase of second hand or sale hats and fascinators.

Well, I have been busy creating but not got the finished products yet on my creations, however this is nearly done and I wanted to post something before the month draws to an end!

Still busy creating - watch this space! I’ve been learning new techniques in online workshops. This is a great time to be learning and to find therapeutic activities to absorb ourselves in.

Leather orchids created this week - match nicely with the Cabochon. Still playing with ideas for this one. Great to have been sent some photos of dresses to help inspire my creations. I’ll be moving onto a different colour next week.

Great to support those in our local area. There are a lot of great charities meeting the needs of the vulnerable and needy right now and this is one of them.

The Manchester Evening News has joined together with the Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity to raise money for the most vulnerable people living in Manchester, Salford, Bury, Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale, Wigan, Bolton, Trafford and Tameside.

Does anyone have an outfit that this ‘Cabochon’ might go with to inspire me to decorate it?! It will end up on a headband or elastic. Happy to hire it out for free to the winning entry when Lockdown is over - you will need to collect it from me in SK8 though.

The Hat Museum, Hat Works opened soon after I moved from London to Manchester - great timing. Happy Birthday Hat Works!

We very nearly forgot our birthday today! Hat Works opened on the 24th of April 20 years ago. Whilst we can't be together to share this landmark, we'd like to raise a virtual glass to all our visitors, staff, volunteers, millinery students / tutors and our collection - we can't wait to be together again.
