Another July wedding and another beautiful dress! Liv got married two weeks ago Wedding Venue Tree Top Escape

I was contacted earlier in the year about this beauty of a dress “it’s heavily beaded and has a scalloped edge hem, can it be shortened as one lady said it wasn’t possible”…..yes it can be 😀

We had to unpick the scalloped edge of beading, move it up, re cut and re attach the edging back on, tying off beads as I go.
As well as shortening the under layers. I also took it in at the waist at the back where it was gaping, moving the zip and buttons and many more beads, also added some straps.

I also shortened the straps and shoulders of Mother of brides dress 😀 👗

Just a few bridesmaid dress alterations this week!

As well summer dress hems, 2 Roman blinds made, lots of trousers hems, patterns cut out for summer dresses and suit alterations.

I had a Family wedding on Saturday at Glastonbury wedding and events venue.

We had a lovely day and here are some photos of the new Mr and Mrs Smith with the outfits I made 😀

I made 5 waistcoats (with help from mum as time was running out 😂🤦🏻‍♀️) and 5 cravates, 2 bridesmaid dresses, a dress for myself and altered the brides dress by taking it in and shortening the length.

We altered 30 prom dresses and made 3 ties this year for 4 different proms in the surrounding area. Some with two layers some with 7 layers, bust darts, taking in, shortening straps.

Kept us busy the last few months with all the other wedding alterations and makes in between.
…Also all the Fittings take up a lot of time…
I’m glad prom season is out the way now for another year! 🤭

We have also been altering bridal party’s for end of July weddings … (The whole bridal party) including brides dresses, bridesmaids, mother of brides, father of bride, brother of bride, father of groom and even page boys suits.
