📢 SHOP OPENING DATES & FINAL ALTERATIONS

Just a little update on my opening days as we head towards the final few weeks of the shop ❤️

This week:
📅 Wednesday 9th September | 10am–4pm
This will be the only day I’m open this week.
If you have any last-minute alterations, please bring them in on Wednesday. These will be ready for collection the following week.

Next week:
📅 Tuesday 15th & Wednesday 16th September | 10am–4pm
These will be the last days to bring any new alterations in.
Anything brought in on these dates will be available for collection the following week.

Week commencing 21st September:
I’ll be busy removing my equipment and furniture from the shop, so I’ll be in and out throughout the day. The shop will be closed Tuesday 22nd & Wednesday 23rd.

Then…

🎉 Thursday 24th & Friday 25th September will be my FINAL TWO DAYS! 🎉

These will be my last days in the shop, finishing up collections and saying a proper goodbye. 🥹❤️

❤️A VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ❤️

After a lot of thought, I have made the difficult decision to close my alteration shop by Friday 25th September 2026 — or possibly sooner.

After many years of being self-employed and running a small business , this hasn’t been an easy decision.

Over the next few weeks I will be finishing existing work, arranging collections and clearing the shop, so my opening hours will be a little different and will depend on my new work commitments. I will keep you updated regularly with the days and times I am available.

Please don’t worry if you already have work with me — I will make sure existing jobs are completed and customers are contacted regarding collections.

Thank you for nine wonderful years of supporting my little business. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️

❤️ A warm, personal announcement

A NEW CHAPTER FOR SEW BEAUTIFUL ❤️

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the very difficult decision to close the doors to my Sew Beautiful shop and take on a new full-time career.

This has not been an easy decision. I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve built and so grateful to every customer who has trusted me with their clothes, wedding dresses, prom dresses and special occasions over the years. ❤️

Running a business has become more demanding than I ever imagined, and after a lot of thought, I’ve decided that it’s time for a change and to find a better balance in my life.

But don’t worry — I’m not giving up sewing! 🧵

I’ll still be taking on a small number of bridal and alteration jobs in my spare time, from home and by appointment only, depending on my availability.

This means I can continue doing what I love, but without the pressure of running a full-time shop.

It really is the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. ❤️

Thank you to every single person who has supported Sew Beautiful over the last six years. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to new beginnings, a little more balance and hopefully enjoying sewing again! 🥰

“I’m currently working through my workload as quickly as possible. As I have a number of upcoming weddings, I do need to prioritise alterations based on the date they are required for.

A customer had straps put on her dress but didn’t like them. I advised her to shorten the dress as it was a little too long and I would make straps to match her dress.

Customer Announcement

I am now fully booked and am unable to accept any new alteration bookings at this time.

I currently have 15 bridal alterations to complete before the end of September, so my full attention needs to be on my existing clients.

The shop will be closed until 14th August as I am on holiday. I apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
