the reason being I wanted to include my brand colours in the logo but was having trouble doing it subtly, but i’m really happy with it now & I promise i won’t change it for a while😜

Hi all! Exciting stuff to show you! 🤩

☾ So, as you may or may not know, there are 2 different charities that will receive 25% of aylo apparel profits, and I'm excited to announce that Cats Protection UK is the second charity!

☾I absolutely LOVE cats. My first was when I was very young, 5 maybe?? I named her Kitsy... of course. 🤣 she was all black and the most loving cat I could have asked for. our second cat was Kitsy's baby, given to my brother Taylor. He named him Totspur. After Tottenham Hotspur🤨... I had to call him Totti for personal reasons (I was a Man Utd fan).

Fast-forward to now..

☾I have moved out of my parents' house so Totti visits are sadly very rare. He likes to spend time next door where they have young girls that love him, so at least he gets some good ol' neck scratches. I recently got the first kitten addition to our Brighton home. We named her Luna, as she has dark features and is completely out of this world. She is just so perfect and polite and everything you want in a little kitten. There will be an abundance of kitten/cat videos and pictures on my stories 24/7 to keep you updated on her! 😇

☾I want to be fair to all the dog lovers out there too! 🐶 So every now and then I will be donating to local dog charities in Brighton & Hove as well!

☾So to be clear: 25% of aylo apparel profit is split between two charities. Taylor-Made Dreams and Cats Protection UK. They will each receive 12.5% after every apparel drop. This means for every £1 spent on any item of aylo apparel, 25p is going towards two amazing charities that help sick children and animals in the UK. I think that's pretty cool.

⚪️ Here's why I'm choosing to only use organic cotton for aylo apparel, over materials such as polyester ⚪️

Hi all! just wanted to share some of the reasons behind the choices I've made in regards to which fabric I will be using for the eventual aylo apparel drop. I knew from the start that I wanted to have everything 100% cotton. Personally, I love wearing cotton clothing, pretty much my entire wardrobe is cotton products because it feels good on 'ma skin! 🥰 So it makes sense to incorporate a fabric I genuinely enjoy wearing right?

Although, natural fibers have their problems too. Cotton is the most pesticide-intensive crop in the world, these pesticides injure and kill many people every year in countries like Ethiopia. Read about it here : https://www.greenchoices.org/green-living/clothes/environmental-impacts

That's why aylo apparel will only be organic cotton. This means the cotton which is used in the making of all future aylo apparel is sourced through ethical cooperations such as Pesticide Action Network UK and Earth Positive. Everything will be organically and ethically produced 😇 I am so happy about that and I hope you are too!

WHO IS AYLO APPAREL? Well let me explain...

☾ My name is Spencer, I live in the colourful city of Brighton and Hove, and I love it here.

☾ My goal is to create affordable, stylish, and economically friendly apparel (clothing) that connects comfort and community by giving back.

☾ Taylor is my brother who died in 2011 at the age of 15, due to a hereditary condition called neurofibromatosis.

☾ He is my day to day inspiration and even the inspiration for the name aylo apparel, as ‘AYLO’ is just ‘TAYLOR’ without the first and last letter.

☾ Taylor-Made Dreams was set up in his name, and therefore I’m choosing them as one of the charities that will receive 25% of ‘aylo apparel’ profit.

☾ I’m going to be specialising in streetwear fashion, so expect hoodies, t-shirts, beanies, socks, all the comfy apparel needed when dealing with the stresses of daily life ♥️ botanically dyed with natural ingredients, then finally hand embroidered logos :)) I’m so excited to get started and show you guys what I’ve been working on!!🤓

I will reveal the 2nd charity that will receive the other 12.5% later on this weekend :))

when you live next to the beach, life’s not a beach..

so I’m using a tradition fabric dye method called Ne-Maki to botanically dye a t-shirt. it creates these beautiful rings at points you choose to add tension.
