Our July window exhibition features 3 artists, Anne Campbell, large abstract style paintings in Alcohol Inks, Nadine Tomkins, Photographs in Colour and Vlad Cohen, Ceramic Sculpture and Pottery 🤩
✨ Anne Campbell
‘In my career as a professional pianist, performing, lecturing, and teaching, I immersed myself in the colour and nuance of the ‘Impressionists in Music’ - Ravel and Debussy. This fascination has prompted the art I have produced in my paintings. I am a self-taught artist and my style is both intuitive and improvisatory. The use of alcohol inks and watercolours allows me a wide freedom of expression.’
✨ Nadine Tomkins
‘Although I have been painting in watercolours for many years my true love has always been photography. In my twenties I had a Canon camera and set up a black and white photography darkroom in our house. I’ve always loved colour so it’s only natural to turn once again to photography, and display some of my favourite colour photographs.’
✨ Vlad Cohen
I am a Ceramic artist mostly focused on sculpture, as well as quirky pieces of functional pottery. In my studio near Preston Park I work with stoneware, using a variety of hand building techniques, as well as wheel throwing. I like to think of the creatures I create as conjured spirits who accompany me in my creative exploration.
