Abi-K designs unique limited edition accessories using vintage Japanese kimono silks and premium soft nappa leather. Abi-K transforms the 'obi', the formal sash worn around the waist of a kimono, into clutch bags, shoulder & cross body bags, purses, glasses cases, cushions, runners and lampshades. The silks are mainly sourced from Kyoto, and were once worn by geishas or in formal Japanese ceremoni

es ranging from 1920’s upwards. No two are ever the same due to the pattern layout, and only an average of 10 products are made from each silk, making your accessory completely unique. Each piece is lovingly designed and cut in the on-site studio, and expertly manufactured by a workshop in London. Call Abi for private commissions too.

This furisode kimono is my personal favourite from my collection. Hand painted, hand stitched. I’ve had this adjusted from the centre seam so not to interrupt the incredible artistry around the hem.
