This mental health day, I just wanted to highlight awareness of the sad facts that we are faced with. The NHS aren’t doing much to help, and the country is falling to pieces.

The one thing you can control is who you talk to. Just ask your mate for a chat, invite them over, go for a coffee or a walk. It might be their highlight of the week, and the difference between life and death.

🩼MENTAL HEALTH AND INJURIES🤕

I’ve been holding out touching on this subject but I know I’m not the only one that this will affect. I fractured my foot back in January, I’ve been out of sports for 9 months now as I’m on a surgery waiting list, it also affects everyday tasks such as working and seeing friends.

There isn’t much information online about how to cope with mental health during an injury, and if I’m honest it’s been absolute hell. “Go for a run?” Can’t. “Go to the gym?” Yeah I can’t. “Go outdoors?” It hurts.

In 9 months. I’ve learned a lot and I’ve learned I need to keep busy in other ways; and talk to people and just see family and friends in other ways. I’ve taken up plants as a hobby, I’m teaching myself other skills, I’m working hard on myself around my injury. I’m bettering myself as a person so that when I heal, I’m ready and better than ever.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not been easy, some days I don’t get up, I rot in bed. Others I have bundles of energy and I can’t use it. I do talk to people when I’m in these states and my mood lasts until the next day which could be different.

You will get through anything. People love you, and care about you, and like me, when I return I will push myself twice as hard to do better and embrace it. Reach out to friends, families, and even hotlines if you need to. It’s not weak to want someone to support you. It’s the opposite because you were brave to get it.

Good morning all,

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. In the last 2 years a lot has happened in my personal life. I have so many amazing people around me, some new, some old, and some that have gone their own way and that’s okay. That doesn’t stop the feeling of loneliness and sadness. Some days are a breeze, others I don’t want to get up and just sleep the day away.

Mentally I’ve not been myself for the last few weeks, nothing has changed in my life, it’s just like that sometimes. I recognised it but I didn’t deal with it. People were saying I’m quiet, not my usual self, not seeing them as often etc and I just kept doing it and making myself worse.

I’ve tried to exercise a bit more recently as I’ve been injured for 9 months, which has helped. I’ve started speaking to my family more and I’ve tried looking for one thing each day to make me smile, which is helping too.

I’d like to get this page to what it was, because I know how many people actually believed in not only the mission, but me. I know it won’t happen overnight but it’s a start. For now, here’s a photo of me at one of my lowest points recently, it’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to express feelings, it really does help.

Not planning on any clothing releases yet. I want to assist in other ways for now.

It’s okay not to be okay. Hello all, I’m currently planning on the best way I can bring mentalk back and have a bigger impact than I did before. I’ve been told it helped a lot of people, and got lots of you to speak up and speak out about how you feel and that makes me feel amazing.

I want to do it again. Since the break I’ve learned some useful, some tough and some pointless lessons and hopefully now I’ve developed as a better person. I have and always will be open for opinions, help and change if needed. I really hope this time will be the start of something ❤️. I hope everyone is doing okay, you aren’t alone in this. There is no set date for a return yet, just finding my footing again.

It’s been a little while since I’ve been active on here. My new job has been hectic, I’ve had some things going on in my own life and I’m adapting to changes all around. I haven’t given up on this or the original goal. I do hope that soon I will be able to bring it all back but even better than before. I just need some creativity and drive back.

Today is and I just wanted to say, to all men out there - you’re doing amazing. Regardless of what gets said to you, remain proud of yourself, chase those goals and don’t let anyone put you down. You’re stronger than you think and I am sending all of my love to you guys.

It is okay to be sad. It’s okay to hurt. It’s okay to struggle. Ask for help when you need it. Let out a cry. Keep your wits about you.

We did a poll on our story asking you guys if you’ve suffered from Mental Health Problems in the past year. 90% of the votes were yes. 9/10 people have suffered from something in the past year.

Lots of the ‘yes’ replies were people I’d class as friends and I would have never known. Mental health comes in all shapes and forms and is always in disguise. You will never know who it can catch off guard.

If you do experience something which isn’t your normal, talk to someone. Just message a friend saying you feel a little off and get them to listen. They may be able to point you in the right direction. Our DM’s are always open if you want to vent or express yourself.

Reach out, make yourself heard and look out for others. We all need a little help sometimes, don’t be scared to admit it.

We haven’t been as active as we’d like and if I’m honest I’ve been pretty busy working away but this week - for mental health week I will try and post daily with ‘hopefully’ helpful ways to get through it❤️
