Like pretty much everyone else, we were on Brandon Hill earlier for the most maxing December sunset whilst walking our spaniel puppy, by which I mean our 8 year old. Chilly & crisp, I love this weather because I can wear all my warm woolly hats.

As the virtual Chelsea Flower Show ends, I thought I’d share this product of a co-lab with florist Vashti Cassinelli for the Sponsors Garden launch back in 2010
Dreaming of creative times returning

I created a corset base and flowing wire structure for the skirt, in order for Vashti to install beautiful living English roses on top. It took a week to build the structure, and then Vashti worked through the night to add the flowers before taking the dress to Chelsea in the morning. Each rose has its own water reservoir, even the ones on the chest. But it was a super hot day and Vashti had to spend the day topping up the water whilst the model walked the Garden.
One day I shall return to creating beautiful things, rather than important functional items. But today I am resting and tending to my own little flower garden full of strawberry plants and butterflies & bee feeding blooms.
