I haven’t post here for ages. I’m not really Woobeadhooing now, just making things for me, mostly sewing. I recycle wherever possible and made dungarees and shorts from IKEA curtains. Also denim jacket from old jeans. Just about to make a cropped one to wear with dresses.
Waste not , want not.

It’s been so long since I posted. I have still been busy crafting, mostly yarn related, from Charity shops or donated. I always have several projects on the go, always include a granny blanket 😆 Here are a few of this years makes.
As a Waste not Want not crafter I use mostly recycled and salvaged materials. My latest creation is a basket made from t-shirt yarn.
I cut the shirts into strips and crocheted this fab basket.
It’s a great way of up cycling clothes that would have otherwise have gone to landfill.

I haven’t posted here for a long time but I thought I’d share my current WIP.
I decided about 2 years ago to use my stash of linen samples and scraps to make a patchwork quilt. I was inspired by the fabrics to embroider some of the many plain squares with British trees and flowers. I drew the designs onto the fabric and experimented with acrylic paints
to colour the designs, before embroidering the outlines.
I’m really pleased how they have developed... but I may be some time
