You will be involved in all parts of the design / alterations process - numerous fittings mean that you get the dress and the result that you want. One of my favourite dresses of the year to work on - this one just needed slightly tweaking and a hem lift to make it perfect. Absolutely love to see my brides looking so happy and gorgeous - receiving photos like this is just the cherry on top of a lovely job 🥰

Revisiting one of my all time favourite bespoke alterations projects… I couldn’t believe my luck when this bride bought me this incredible antique gown to work on, which was around 100 years old! It needed a few additions to make it wearable and befit a modern day wedding. We made a bespoke slip to go underneath the sheer tulle in a light colour to perfectly show off the exquisite embellishment that sat on top. We then used the softest tulle to create an insert to go in the back, to make the dress fit the bride but also to become a seamless addition to such a special piece. The bride sourced the beautiful brooch to put on the back which just finished off the look. It’s such a privilege to work with all my brides and their gowns but what a special project this was ❤️

Revisiting some past alterations - this dress mostly fitted well but needed bringing in down the sides of the bodice, and therefore under the arms and sleeves. This was tricky because the beautiful lace and trim on the back formed that perfect angle on the side which needed to be maintained! But as I always say, most things are possible and I haven’t met a challenging alteration yet that I couldn’t make work. Please contact me with any requests or for general advice - I’d love to help. I had the pleasure of working on this stunning dress a couple of summers ago, while heavily pregnant, hence why I am only just sharing these photos. This dress was at least two sizes too big but with a lot of pins and persistence I bought it in at the sides, up at the shoulders, and up at the waist to make this beautiful back detail sit in just the right place.
