Of course some machine production lines stopped a long time ago and spare parts are next to impossible to get, but our strength is in the fact that we will reproduce/make the parts ourselves – it will take a little longer to complete the job but you’ll have your old trusted sewing machine working as good as ever without having to buy another one. In fact, private customers, as well as sewing machine dealers are bringing their machines to us to refurbish. They know that we are experts in our field and charge far less than many London-based engineers.

He started his working life in a shoe factory in Australia making shoes on industrial machines but within a few short years and numerous courses in engineering he progressed to take over the engineering department of that factory and has been refurbishing sewing machines ever since. A great number of Industrial Sewing machines produced in the 50s and 60s or even earlier are still in use today owing their durability to high precision engineering and the high quality of materials used; they were built to last. Take a look at the old Singer Machines produced for domestic use, dating back to the 1850s – some of them are still running today; recently we acquired such a machine dating back to 1877 – all it needed was a bit of oil and grease….
