Aspiring Designers: Creative Sewing Course — Home Education Learners (Starting September!)
Does your young designer love making, creating, and exploring new ideas?
This September, give them a space where their imagination and practical skills can grow.

Over 4 creative weeks, home‑educated learners will:

Learn to use a sewing machine with confidence

Design and sew their own project (book cover, pencil case or tote)

Explore fabric design through block printing

Work in a small, supportive group (max 6)

Build independence, problem‑solving skills, and creative courage

All taught by Jenniffer Taylor — sewing author and educator, known for her friendly, confidence‑boosting teaching style.

Currently convalescing after surgery… 🤍

I’ve been told to take it easy, rest and give my body time to heal.

Something I find surprisingly difficult — both as a person and as a small business owner.

My mind is always busy and I’m so used to doing. Even on a day off, I’ll find something to do. 😂

So I’m trying to learn how to slow down…

…and I’m discovering that taking it easy doesn’t necessarily mean doing absolutely nothing. 🌿☀️

Sometimes it means finding gentle things to occupy my hands and quieten my mind, without asking too much of my body.

A little sunshine.

A little fresh air.

And, of course, something to keep my hands busy… 🪡

Sashiko stitching 🪡

One stitch at a time.

Focusing on the thread.
The rhythm.
The breath.

And somehow, everything else gets a little quieter.

I’m learning that rest can look different to doing absolutely nothing.

Sometimes it’s just finding something gentle enough to calm the mind, while giving the body the time it needs to heal. 🤍

One stitch. One breath. One day at a time. ✨
