Layering up my bundle dyed warp with stripes made from the loom waste of previous warps! The base is a peachy colour which was dyed as an extra to exhaust a dye pot!

Slightly worries it just looks dirty in the photos 😅 but hopefully it will be a beautiful, unique piece when it’s off!!

Following along the natural dyeing theme, I’ve almost finished putting my first attempt at a bundle dyed warp on the loom!

I had no real plan or expectation with this warp, I just picked a variety of plants and veg waste from our gardens to place on the warp, some worked, some didn’t, and that’s ok!

I’m going to be playing with some ideas I’ve had to make use of loom waste in the weft with this warp too. Fingers crossed I’ll have some lovely exciting new pieces to show you soon!!

Not obvious eclipse photos, but some beautiful shadows and reflections as well result of! 🌙✨

Today I dropped off my biggest wholesale order to date to a (very sunny) Wells Cathedral!

The Wells Cathedral shop were my first proper wholesale stockers a couple of years ago, and the first place that I designed, not just one but two, exclusive plaids for. They are still my best and most consistent stockist!

I was so chuffed when this order came through, but I can deny I was a little worried I’d struggle now also having a job to juggle, and lots of extra appointments for the girls in the last month for starting school and finishing nursery BUT I did it, and relatively easily too, so I know I’m capable of more!! 💪🏻

Anyway, feeling very proud of this achievement and hopeful that it might be the start of more bigger orders to come!

If you’d like to follow Wells Cathedral s lead and have an exclusive plaids (or two) designed for your shop send me an email: [email protected]

Thank you Wells for making a dream come true! ✨

There are never enough hours in the day / days in the week to execute the ideas in my head at the moment!! 🤯😅

However, here are one of the ideas I’ve had that I have managed to make a reality!

This is 3 of what will be a collection of 4 Somerset Landmarks greetings cards.
So far featuring Glastonbury Tor, Ham Hill memorial and Bruton Dovecote. (Watch this space for Burrow Mump).

These are available on a wholesale basis too so if you have a shop in Somerset and would like to stock this unique collection, do send me a message.

When one warp ends, another begins!

Just getting ready to start a little warp for a wholesale order then I’ve got some space to play with some ideas I’ve got buzzing around my head for some new designs, making use of some of my yarn remnants and learning some new skills!

Things are slower as I now share my time between my employed job, family and home life as well as the business, but I’m very much still here and making! ✨

Just a little bit of life lately!

Loving my work, both employed and self employed, making the most of the windows of time I have with the girls, keeping up with the home baking, trying to worry less about the housework!! Watching our little lambs from the window and just generally trying to appreciate the little things while life is so busy!

Last year we started our very own flock - a very small start with just two ewes who live in with our neighbours little flock. 🐑

Today my partner had his first shearing experience, and so I am beginning my first experience processing the fleeces. I am no spinner, I have had a couple of try’s which were not particularly successful 😅

So to begin with I’m not putting too much pressure on myself, I just want to play and experiment, using the fleeces, loosely spun, to add some texture and interest to my work.

I’m really excited to start playing with my very own, home grown British wool from Bramble & Damson! 💕
