Yesterday, the Christian Union at the University of Buckingham held a bake sale — and donated every penny to Grace &. 💚

These brilliant young people baked from scratch, sold every last crumb — and when they ran out, they went to the shops and bought more to keep going.

And that wasn’t all. They also invited their fellow students to donate clothing, and the bags kept coming.

This is what loving your community looks like in practice. Not just talking about it — actually doing something about it.

We are so grateful. Buckingham, you never stop surprising us. 🙏

One year ago this week, we went for dinner with some friends. At the end of the evening they handed us a bag of spare clothes.

I remember driving home thinking how lucky we were. I couldn't believe people would be so generous.

That was it. That was how Grace & started. A bag of clothes and a hope that maybe Buckingham needed something like this.

We started out as Buckingham Clothes Bank — but pretty quickly we realised Buckingham needed more than clothes. Bras, period products, maternity items, mental health resources. And we realised something else too: this isn't just for people in need. It's for everyone. Anyone who wants to shop more sustainably, reduce waste, or just pick up something they need without spending a penny. Grace & is for the whole town.

One year on, here's what that first bag of clothes has become:

We are overwhelmed. Genuinely. This town has been so generous, so kind, and so supportive from day one.

One year ago we opened our doors for the first time with a pile of clothes and a lot of hope. Tomorrow we do it again — and we're so proud of what this community has become. 🎉

This Saturday · 1–4pm · Buckingham Youth Centre

Free clothes, bras, period products, maternity items and mental health resources — for anyone who needs them, no questions asked.

And because Buckingham has been absolutely baking this week ☀️ — we'll have free ice pops for everyone, plus a great selection of summer clothes, beach wear and swimming stuff.

THANK YOU to Ubuntu at Stowe School for showing such compassion and generosity. Yesterday two young ladies and a member of staff delivered six boxes of clothes, which will enable us to support more people in our local community.

We’ve been collecting items of clothing suitable for work to enable people to attend interviews, places of work and to remove barriers to finding employment.

To all the pupils at Stowe - you’ve gone a long way to making this happen for us, thank you.

It’s also our last pop-up before the summer — so whether you’re coming for the first time or you’ve been with us from the start, we’d love to see you.

💚 Grace & is nearly one year old!

What started as a small act of kindness has become a regular source of practical support for people across Buckingham. As we prepare for our next Grace Day, we’ve noticed a gap we need your help to fill.

When we ask for bras we tend to receive larger sizes. But some of the people we support are petite women and teenagers, and it’s often the smaller sizes that are hardest to come by.

Right now, we’re critically low on:

• B Cup Bras
• C Cup Bras
• Nursing bras

We’re happy to accept bras that are new or lightly worn, provided they’re in good condition, have an intact label and plenty of life left in them.

(For hygiene reasons, we can’t accept used underwear or socks.)

If you can help, whether by donating something you no longer need or picking up an extra item while you’re shopping, we’d be incredibly grateful.

Thank you for helping us make sure nobody in Buckingham goes without the basics they need. 💚

Volunteer sewers needed!

We have created these wristbands which help people who struggle with self harm or compulsive behaviours. They’ve proven really popular the last few months!!

We’ve ordered enough elastic to make 200 more and are looking for people to help us sew them. We’ve found we can’t use a machine as it pulls the elastic through so are hand sewing.

Tonight was a real privilege and honour to receive a grant from Buckingham Town Council to continue serving our community. Thank you to Fran Davies (Buckingham’s Mayor) and all the other town councillors for hosting us and for supporting our project.

So far in 2026 we have given away 5,657 items to our local community and have grown hugely in what we offer to include mental health resources, period products, maternity items and more. The growth in products means we need more storage and this money will go to good use making this happen.

Everything is, and always will be free to anyone who needs it. We love our community and will be here for you through thick and thin! 💜
