We’re taking a quick trip to Wales next week! 🌿 While we’re away, the lovely Ruth will be holding down the fort at Eco Bee so you can still pop in for your sustainable goodies.

We’ll be operating on reduced hours from 14th – 18th July:
🗓️ Tuesday 14th & Wednesday 15th: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
🗓️ Saturday 18th: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Happy 4th of July from your resident expat! 🇺🇸✨

As an American living in the UK, today always brings up a mix of emotions. But even when the news looks grim and the transatlantic secondhand embarrassment is real, I like to look on the bright side. We have given the world some truly magnificent things:

🎷 Jazz
⛰️ The national parks system
🪐 Star Wars
🥑 Avocado toast (okay, Australia helped, but we weaponised it)
🍪 And, of course, the absolute pinnacle of human engineering: the chocolate chip cookie

And, if there’s one thing Americans are famous for, it’s our stubborn, unstoppable optimism—the belief that no matter how messy the present is, a brighter future is always worth working for. ✨

Here’s to a healthy dose of hope, plenty of sunshine (but not too much heat), and a very happy 4th to my fellow expats and local friends alike! 🥂☀️🇺🇸 Happy 250th, America!

🐝 We're hiring! Part-time shop help wanted at Eco Bee 🐝

Fancy joining our little team in Fulbourn? We're on the lookout for a friendly, reliable helper for 9.5 hours a week, starting ASAP:

🗓️ Tues–Sat, 9–10:30am
🗓️ Thurs & Fri, 3–4pm

💷 Paying the Real Living Wage (£13.45/hr)

You'll be helping customers, restocking our shelves, processing our lovely preloved clothing consignments, and keeping the shop looking s***k and span (yes, that includes the odd vacuum and bathroom clean!) 🌿

We're after someone reliable and responsible who's happy working independently, comfortable picking up new bits of tech and software, and brings a can-do, optimistic attitude when things get busy or tricky. No experience necessary, just a friendly face and a love of all things sustainable! Depending on what you're into, there could also be scope to get involved with our social media and window displays.

Perfect if you're after a small, regular commitment that fits around other work, study, or family life.
