Today at our Christmas session I said farewell to my little students.
The sewing club is now closed after 6 lovely years of teaching local children. Thank you all for attending my lessons! I do hope I ignited your love of sewing and you will all carry on crafting and being creative.

At today’s session we’ve made friendship bracelets. The plan was to just make simple plaits but the girls started making these very nice knotted ones which took a bit longer. They are fab. And a slight change of roles, as they taught me how to make these bracelets… last photo is my attempt to make one but I think I’ll leave it to the experts.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

At our first session of the new term today with only 3 girls we made pleated face coverings which are double sided and can be worn both ways. The girls have done an amazing job with the tricky elastic and should be very proud of themselves making masks not just for themselves! I think you agree they have done a great job!

We were delighted to welcome back our sewing bees at our catch up session held two weeks ago. We welcomed the girls back to make the last project from the spring term we had to put on hold for 6 months!! So at our socially distanced session we made hair clips from ribbons all done by hand sewing..
