What a brilliant day at the Sainsbury's Property Strategic Partnership Conference at the NEC, followed by an incredible black-tie awards evening celebrating the people and partnerships helping deliver transformation across the Sainsbury’s estate.

It was fantastic to hear Sainsbury’s senior leaders share the next chapter of their strategy and ambitions for the future.

After such a fantastic day, we were immensely proud to see RMS recognised throughout the evening’s celebrations:

• Our very own Paul Hodges received recognition for truly living the “Own It” valued behaviour. A fantastic and very well-deserved moment, reflecting years of hard work and commitment in supporting Sainsbury’s.

• RMS was shortlisted for Strategic Partner of the Year for exceptional service. A recognition that belongs to the incredible people across our business who deliver with commitment, consistency and care every single day.

• We were especially proud to see Sainsbury’s Tonbridge win the inaugural Scheme of the Year Award. This was an incredibly complex investment, and RMS has been heavily involved over the last 12 months, helping redefine what is possible in a live retail environment. Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved in this beast of a project!

Another successful store launch delivered for the Sainsbury's estate ✨

We’re proud to have supported the opening of the new Sainsbury’s Luton Airport Convenience Store, which launched successfully this morning.

A fantastic effort from both our Day and Night teams, who received great feedback from the Project Manager for their work and support throughout the project.

This project represents one of the most significant transformations delivered by RMS in partnership with Sainsbury’s, and one of our most complex live trading transformations to date.

A multi-phase programme that:

✔ Kept the store trading throughout
✔ Supported peak Christmas operations
✔ Delivered a brand new superstore approximately twice the size of the original
✔ Introduced a modern flagship format with thousands of additional products

Behind the scenes, this was all about precision, planning and people:

🟢 Over 26,000 hours delivered
🟢 Teams walking 20+ miles a day some days
🟢 A fully integrated approach with store, construction and client teams

What made this one stand out even more was the way it was delivered with RMS led phasing, enhanced leadership structure and true collaboration at every level.

The result was a state of the art flagship store that will serve the Tonbridge community for years to come.

Today marks Sacha’s last day with RMS after an incredible 15 years 👏

From starting out on the George account and being promoted within just six weeks, to becoming a trusted Senior Team Leader across multiple major retail partners, Sacha’s journey has been nothing short of outstanding. Her leadership, reliability and ability to deliver, especially during some of our busiest and most challenging periods, have made a lasting impact on both our team and our retail partners.

She’s been a hugely valued part of RMS and will be greatly missed by colleagues across the business.

Led by our Chief Operating Officer, James Davies, who oversees operations and our growing construction delivery, this continued investment reflects the direction of the business and our commitment to supporting retailers at scale.

Another proud moment for the RMS team with the opening of Sainsbury’s new superstore in Sutton Coldfield yesterday 🎉

At just under 30,000 sq ft, this is the largest Homebase conversion in the Sainsbury’s estate to date.

An outstanding delivery on one of the most significant transformation projects we’ve ever undertaken at RMS for Sainsbury's.

The Sainsbury’s Tonbridge store transformation is now complete, with the brand new superstore successfully opening yesterday 👏

This represents the largest merchandising investment RMS and Sainsbury’s have delivered together to date. The scale, complexity and pace of this project have been exceptional!

What makes this even more impressive is the sheer effort behind the scenes. Teams were walking 20+ miles a day (over 60,000 steps!) to keep operations moving, managing complex logistics and ensuring all phases of the project stayed on track.

A huge thank you to every RMS colleague involved...you should be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. This project truly showcases what can be delivered when teams come together with the right energy, resilience and commitment.

The end result is a state of the art superstore now twice the size of the original that will deliver an incredible long term result for Sainsbury’s and the local community.
