Had a quick rummage around the wiring today. Resoldered many iffy connections and fitted new speaker terminals.
Here's a quick taster , albeit via my phone , they sound pretty good to me.
Think Kef concertos on steroids 🀩
The Radford crossovers will get a recap PDQ and I'll do a proper rewire. These are epic 😎

Top tip, when choosing speakers you just need to consider the trinity of ohms, watts and ceiling height , simples πŸ˜„
My floor standers are considerably bigger than yours 🀣
Can't wait to get these renovated and pumping out some subsonic bass πŸ˜‹

Today has been all about The Tower of Power πŸ˜€
Manly Japanese muscle units into these SONY APM-141ES speakers. 3 way with distinctive square drivers at 80watts RMS, they're very good room fillers and passed the Massive test with flying colours πŸ‘Œ
Settled on the recently refurbished Technics SU-810 in the end. Mainly as its so tolerant of speaker impedance from 4 to 16 ohms πŸ˜‰

This vintage Pioneer silverline beast is pushing out 100 watts per channel RMS 🀩
That's not to be sniffed at or under estimated , so I'm running it in with these fantastic XTZ 99.25 speakers , also rated at 100w πŸ’ͺ
Spinning up a bit of ROYAL BLOOD on this recently refurbished DUAL505 .
I saw them last year at Glasto, and still can't get over the duo's power . Just like this set up. I like my job πŸ˜…
