Great beginners sewing machine workshop today for women seeking sanctuary. 🧵 🪡
4 ladies came and each learnt to thread and work their machine, and also successfully make a tote or shopping bag to take home! We shared conversation, craft and lunch.

Thank you to Green Ways for inviting me to deliver this. Next session scheduled for September 11th.

First try at upholstery! I bought this footstool for £4 at a church fair and it's sat for ages waiting for me to have some inspiration. I then saw this amazingly beautiful off-cut at Lady Sew & Sew and with a can of mint spray paint, this is the result. I love it!
Just enough fabric left to make 2 new cushion covers to match for my sofa.

I have combined my love of stitching with my love of being outdoors and will be running a 4 week 'Slow Stitching' workshop in the wonderful setting of Path Hill Outdoors, Goring Heath. It is a chance to learn something new, slow down, de-stress and get mindful as part of a small group.
