🛑SOLD Wow! What an incredible find yesterday!

We have been digging deep into the history of our wonderful traditional British Fairground archives. Look at this spectacular pair of circa 1930s Lakin Ben Hur Dragon Chariot sides we found!

This rare surviving pair of hand-painted carved Dragon Chariot sides are believed to date from the 1930s Ben Hur Lakin ride

The famous Ben Hur Arks were developed during the 1930s (originally from the Noah’s Ark ride), with makers such as Robert Lakin & Co. creating these incredible rides inspired Roman chariot racing.

A fantastic survivor from the golden age of the travelling British fairground, we are absolutely thrilled to have this pair of rare chariot sides.

I swear I only popped out for a matcha latte but now Wayne is kindly loading this guy onto the truck for me.

I have my research cut out this evening, might need another matcha latte as I go down the rabbit warren of primitive hand carved stone faces.

I plucked John Wayne out of the truck to give you an idea of how grand this wonderful set of English Victorian Haberdashery drawers are.

We do love finds with heart, warmth and a story and these really fit the bill. Wayne Cutts (Private uk antique warehouse ) spotted these and has given them a light wax and clean to bring out the lovely tones.

The possibilities are endless for how to showcase these in the home or business.
