We’re beyond proud to have created and curated The Regular Works, it’s been a lot of pure joy.
Looking back to when we started in 2019 it’s hard to believe that ‘sustainability’ wasn’t really a thing and we really felt like we were industry disrupters (or a bit mad!) going against the grain launching with just a few, well made pieces designed to last.
Arguably now, in 2025, fastfashion has never felt ‘faster’ but it’s been so rewarding to get to know a whole community of makers, shoppers and new friends who share our ethos of ‘less is more’ and like us have found other ways to celebrate and consume fashion and craft.
This said, not only has the world changed since we launched (pandemics, Brexit’s, tariffs, algorithms to name but a few) but we’ve changed too and what we want out of our business has evolved. Challenges have also come in unexpected ways, not least Vic’s cancer diagnosis and treatments which are now thankfully very much behind her 🤍
We’ve never felt more passionate about great design, using the best materials and championing UK manufacturing but this has at times felt lost in the churn of making and marketing and we’ve never wanted to compromise, hence a rethink.
So, we’re not stopping but The Regular as we know it is pausing and taking a breather.
In the meantime we are changing up our website so this is a last chance to buy from the limited stocks we have left. We’re incredibly grateful for every purchase and kindness shown to us over the years - it’s perhaps a cliche but it really has, and does, mean the world.
