So, I’ve been fighting against making these since I first started making teacup and saucer holsters. I bought this as an incomplete set and decided to give it a go. I understand that it’s a similar design to the originals made in the USA that I drew inspiration from and consequently put my own spin on…

My question is this, is this an OK design to produce even though I know it’s very similar to the originals? I feel that teacup holsters are pretty much ubiquitous within the steampunk community nowadays, so would you have an issue with it?

Today’s absolute mind blown moment. Armstrong Mill in Shepshed antiques place. Saw this…

Deffo one of mine, but I have absolutely no recollection of making it as it has a very weird contrivance on the back that looks as though it should have a side plate on the back, but is too small. Very weird. But it has my maker’s mark on the back, so I deffo made it. It’s up for £35, so is probably a little less than whoever ordered it paid for it.

I got a load of tiny potion bottles ages ago for the Susuwatari (incidentally, I’ve gone big on those this coming season and upgraded them considerably, watch this space).
But it turned out they were waaaay too small for the little gonks. So they’ve been floating around the workshop for a while with nothing to do with them. I finally got around to designing something for them last night. Laser cut and hand finished so they’ve are infinitely repeatable. Cute little holsters for your belt. Use them for Larp, cosplay, renfaires or just for sprucing up your everyday wear. What do they contain? Don’t tell and be all enigmatic! Available in my Etsy store

I’m really sorry to have to write this, but starting Monday, I will not be selling to the USA.

I realise my tiny little business is hardly going to make a difference, but ideologically, I can’t trade in a country that is so completely broken both at home and internationally.

The Trump Gestapo killing innocent people on the streets, annexing sovereign countries, the list is endless of the atrocities that he advocates. Half of the country are wringing their hands and the other half is cheering him on.

Now he is threatening a 25% import tariff on all goods entering the USA. I don’t pay that, the customer does, but tell that to Republicans and they simply do not believe you.

Sorry to all the nice people in the USA, but your f**kwits have pi**ed on ALL your chips.

Asked at quite short notice to go and help out down at the steampunk emporium section of Farnborough MegaCon. No outfit… solution, green tweed waistcoat, green cords a top hat and a little time this morning on the laser. Can you tell who I’ll be?

Quite possibly one of the best books I’ve ever made!

Over 300 pages of 160gsm art paper in A4 format.

Switching gears from a steampunk mindset to a reenactment/Ren fair one. Nice gentle transition. What do you think? Are they a goer?

Today’s offerings for the Asylum stall are not bad at all, even though I do say so myself.

A Killstar dainty little duo with a bat motif inside the cup. This one is absolutely killer with the gold stylings and a skull spoon!

Secondly we have a delightful white and green spotty trio in a dark brown holster. The trios always come with a spoon and a cake fork. In this instance, I managed to find a matching set. No mean feat in this day and age, I can tell you!

Come to the Broadarrow Jack stall in the castle grounds at Asylum and tell them Jack sent you!

My fabulous homage to Christian Louboutin.

Dual colour leather, hand dyed with a John Rocha tea cup and saucer. The teacup and saucer also is a dual black and red colour to echo the holster.

This is going to be for sale at the Asylum this year. As I didn’t manage to get the July teacup bonanza off the ground, I’m hoping to have some of the more interesting teacup holsters for sale on the stall…

So, you know how I am booked to trade at Blists hill?

Yeah, that’s now not going to be happening. It’s been a long year with some particularly difficult and trying times and as a result, something had to give. So I took the executive decision to back off on Blists hill and concentrate on getting enough stock made for Asylum.

I’m sorry if you were planning on coming to see me to buy something at Blists Hill (The Town That Never Was), I will still be there with the Nimph/western crew all weekend, so will be available for nattering and hugs.
