Beautiful vintage ‘alpaca silver’ and abalone shell butterfly brooch from Mexico winging it’s way to later this week.
Did you know ‘alpaca silver’ is not actually silver but an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc which is often used for jewellery and other crafts in Mexico as well as other Central and South American countries. It is nice and malleable and retains its shine. Abalone shell is often used in Mexico for jewellery
