Sharon Bowen is one of the best-kept secrets in the UK’s fashion industry, yet some of her works remain among the most high profile. Handcrafted bridal and evening gowns bearing the Sharon Bowen signature regularly appear in television programmes and on the glossy pages of all the fashion magazines, with many of her clients including well known faces from the world of TV and the media. Recently, Sharon’s work has appeared consecutively on both ITV, in Coronation Street, and the BBC in their action drama Paradise Heights. Sharon started her career in the industry by studying for an honours degree in fashion at Bristol. Her potential soon became apparent and Sharon moved to Paris, designing and producing work for the Maison de Couture – Huber Aimetti and showing collections at the Pret-a-Porter and Les Createurs. She went on to become a member of the Syndicat des Halles, which enabled her to work on collections from major names including Chloe, Stephen Kelian, Tokio Rumagai and Kenzo. Sharon has received favourable reviews for her evening wear in Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire. In the UK she launced the successful Pepe Leather and Challenger Leatherwear collections to international acclaim. Sharon has produced many theatrical fashion shows featuring her renowned unique creations. Her designs take evening wear to another dimension with sumptuous selections of satin and shine statement dresses. Clients have been known to slip into sleek and seductive mode in a little black number, (perfect for that all important evening soiree) or flamboyant ball gowns.
