❓ We have a question for you.

How long have you owned your Chrysalis? And how is it wearing?

Because now and then we hear from someone who has had theirs for fifteen, twenty years, maybe more, and they are still reaching for it on a cold morning, still turning heads, and it’s still doing exactly what it was made to do.

That is the result of choosing the right fabric, cutting it correctly, and having it sewn by people who care about what they are making.

Good Design Never Dates

These frames were captured at Chrysalis HQ back in 2021, and here is the wonderful thing about them. If we told you they were photographed last week, you would not think twice.

Not a single one of them looks its age. Because when you design without chasing a trend, there is nothing to go out of fashion in the first place. A Chrysalis from a few years ago and a Chrysalis from today speak the same language: quality, character and the quiet confidence of something made to last.

Look closely. This is where it all begins.

Long before a coat takes shape, there is the cloth, and this is the part we quietly obsess over.

This is the raw material of a Chrysalis. Woven wool with real depth and character, the kind that shifts and softens in the light and reveals something new every time you look. No two tweeds are ever quite the same, and that is exactly how it should be.

Get the cloth right, and everything else follows.

The colour of a September afternoon, woven into wool.

This ladies' tweed jacket is autumn distilled, a warm golden ochre ground with a delicate windowpane check.

Look closer, and the details reveal themselves. A funnel collar with a zip-and-stud front for real protection against the chill. Roomy flap pockets. A neat buttoned half belt drawing in the back.

Styled here with a waistcoat, a crisp white shirt and a tie, it proves just how versatile a good tweed can be.

The colour of autumn, if ever there was one.

Summer is still with us for now, but this warm russet wool has us thinking ahead to the months to come. A shade somewhere between chestnut, conker and the last of the autumn light, flecked through with deeper tones.

A neat stand collar with a buckle tab at the throat. A clean single-breasted front. Pockets with purpose. The kind of jacket that carries you from a crisp morning walk to lunch in town without missing a beat.

Autumn will be here before we know it. And this is precisely what you will want to be wearing when it arrives. 🍂

Two cones of thread. A hundred decisions already made.

Before a single seam is sewn, the right thread has to be chosen; matched to the cloth, the colour, the coat it is destined to become.

It is one of those details nobody is ever meant to notice, which is rather the point. Get it right, and the eye simply glides over it, seeing only a coat that looks exactly as it should.

The small things are never really small. Not here.
