My dollhouse needlepoint kit business www.janetgranger.co.uk is now closed – I started it in January 1996 and ran it for almost 30 years, until November 2024. Now I have decided that it’s time to retire.

Please note that I will no longer be available to reply to emails requesting help with the kits, ‘custom design’ queries, suggestions about how I could possibly keep the business going (such as offering digital downloads, etc.) – I will not reply to emails of that kind. Please respect my decision to stop working!

The tutorials pages (and the customers’ gallery pages) will stay up until at least December 2026, so if you have previously bought a kit and would like to use the tutorials for extra help, please make sure you do that before they are taken down.

Finally, I’d like to say a big thank you to all of my customers - some of you have been with me since the very beginning, back in 1996!! I have loved seeing all the ways that you have used the kits of mine that you have stitched and displayed in your doll’s houses. You are such a creative bunch. I know that many of you stitch because you are not in the best of health, and your stitching helps you to cope with physical and mental issues. I hope you continue with your stitching and mini hobbies in the future, and get lots of joy from them.

CLOSING DOWN SALE

This is the last call for anyone who wants 32 & 40 count SILK GAUZE or 18 & 22 count CANVAS PIECES! I have the last few of these for sale on my website www.janetgranger.co.uk before I retire – please order by Friday 15th November at the latest.

Please note: the Tutorials section of my website will stay open for a couple of years at least, so that people who have previously bought dollhouse needlepoint kits from me can still check how to make them up.

Dollhouse needlepoint kit closing down sale – last few items on website – PLEASE READ ON!

The speed at which the last of the stock of dollhouse needlepoint kits and charts flew out, following my last FB post two weeks ago, blew my socks off! I had over 200 orders in less than 12 hours!!! If you were one of the people who placed an order, then thank you so much. All orders have been posted now, so the backlog is clear.

A FEW MORE KITS AVAILABLE:

I have now started to clear my office and store room, and in the process I have found a few more kits (particularly fire screen kits https://janetgranger.co.uk/product-category/firescreen-kits/ and tray cloth kits https://janetgranger.co.uk/product-category/tray-cloth-kits/ ), so I have just uploaded these to the website, so if you missed your chance before, take another look.

SILK GAUZE:

I have decided to sell the last of my stocks of 32 count https://janetgranger.co.uk/product/silk-gauze-fat-quarter-32-count-19-x-19-inches-plus-selvedge/ and 40 count https://janetgranger.co.uk/product/silk-gauze-fat-quarter-40-count-19-x-19-inches-plus-selvedge/
silk gauze as “fat quarters” (19 x 19 inches) rather than the small cut pieces, and these are priced at about half the usual price per square inch that I usually sell gauze for. These fat quarters are 40 GBP each, and, like the kits, are limited in number, so if you’d like one, don’t leave it too long!

Finally, several people have asked me if the website will be taken down once I have retired – I am planning to keep it up for at least two years, possibly longer, so that the tutorials https://janetgranger.co.uk/tutorials/ about how to do mini stitching and how to make up each type of kit will still be available. Also, the gallery of inspirational images from all my lovely customers will still be available, too. It’s only the online shop part of the website which will disappear.

CLOSING DOWN SALE!!!

After running my dollhouse needlepoint kit business for almost 30 years, I have decided that it’s time to retire! I’ve come to this decision partly because of the health of myself and my husband, partly because we want to have more time to travel around the beautiful county of Cornwall (which we moved to three years ago and have hardly begun to explore), and partly because I’d like to spend more time with my craft stash :-)

Sooo….. I have closed down my Etsy shop already, to make things simpler, and all stock is now listed just on my website. I have changed the way the products are listed on the website so that when the last one of each item sells out, the listing will disappear from the website, so everything you can see is still in stock, but if you can’t see something any more, it’s because I have sold out!
To clear the final stock of kits, everything now has 20% off the usual price. I am not planning to reduce prices further, and I expect to close the website completely sometime before Christmas.
Finally, I’d like to say a big thank you to all of my customers - some of you have been with me since the very beginning, back in 1996!!
