These women are skilled knitters, creating beautiful textiles using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

As many of you know, block printing was my original love language.. the natural dyes, the carved wooden blocks, and the human hand behind every single impression.

But for this new season, we wanted to turn our focus to the fabric itself.

We’ve been exploring loom-woven ginghams for our latest collection, and we’re very excited about where it’s taking us.

Meet the Baked Cherry Gingham. She is ultra-soft, breathable and drapes like poetry.

We’ve just finished sampling her in a dress and a blouse, and I couldn’t resist giving you a little peek at the details and texture.

We’ve always loved the classic Guernsey jumper. There’s something about the shape, the chunky knit and that slightly rugged feel that we just can’t get enough of.

Guernsey jumpers have a long history with fishermen around the British coast and the Channel Islands. They were made to be practical, warm and hard wearing, with a close knit to help keep out the cold and details designed for life at sea.

Even the neckline had a purpose. The high, simple neck helped keep out the wind and cold, while the relaxed, boxy shape allowed plenty of movement.

We wanted to take those old fisherman’s jumpers that we love so much and give them our own Banjaara twist. Something simple, comfy and timeless that you’ll hopefully wear for years.
