A beautiful rescue dog died needlessly in the early hours of New Years Day after experiencing extreme stress from fireworks. Please, please sign this petition to ban fireworks other than for official displays. Every time we set off fireworks there is so much suffering. Pets, wild animals and sensitive people suffer extreme stress, not to mention the negative environmental impact from the release of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen. There are laws against animal cruelty yet we allow this to happen several times each year. We have until 14th January to get 100,000 signatures and then it must be debated in Parliament. Please, please help and sign this petition.

So it's only a few days until the wonderful Cottingham Christmas Festival. YAY! I'VE MISSED YOU!! This dapper chap in his glass dome will be available (I'm calling him Strictly Mouse but maybe it's Scrooge Mouse?) but as always, everything is a one off or very limited so don't miss out on a very special Xmas present for those you love.

Beautiful Freaks Emporium is sponsoring the Halloween Themed class for other pets in the ERRG Online Pet Photo Competition!! Pop along to the FB page to enter - £1.50 per entry. Other classes available for Handsome Vampires (boys) and Pretty Witches (girls). All money raised in aid of retired greyhounds in the care of the East Riding Retired Greyhounds charity. Closing date is 11th November and all class winners receive a beautiful rosette. All pets welcome!!

The game was afoot last night at the Sherlock Holmes Great Murder Mystery! Amazing food, fabulous theatre and wonderful company. Thank you, his nibs and I loved every single minute. Me thinks this concept needs to come to Hull dear Watson...
