ফিফা বিশ্বকাপ ২০২৬-এ অংশগ্রহণকারী দেশগুলোর দলীয় গ্রুপ ফটোগ্রাফি এবং প্রতি ম্যাচের ভিআইপি অতিথিদের ফটোগ্রাফি এডিটর হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন বাংলাদেশের শ্রীমঙ্গলে জন্ম নেয়া আকিব খান লাবানা।
আকিব খান লাবানা দেশবিদেশের সুপরিচিত ব্যবসায়ি, সামাজিক ও রাজনৈতিক ব্যক্তিত্ব আকরাম খান এবং বেগম আয়েশা তালুকদারের একমাত্র পুত্র। বর্তমানে তিনি ফ্রান্সের খ্যাতনামা বিজ্ঞাপন নির্মাতা ‘মেমোন্টো ফটো’ প্রতিষ্ঠানে ফটোগ্রাফি ও ভিডিও এডিটর হিসেবে কর্মরত রয়েছেন।
বাংলাদেশে জন্মগ্রহণ করলেও শৈশব হতেই তিনি ফ্রান্সের রাজধানী প্যারিসের হোস এলাকায় বেড়ে ওঠেন। ছোটবেলা থেকেই ফটোগ্রাফির প্রতি তার গভীর আগ্রহ ছিল। মা-বাবার উৎসাহ ও অনুপ্রেরণায় তিনি এ বিষয়ে উচ্চশিক্ষা গ্রহণ করেন এবং পেশাগত জীবনেও নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন।
ফটোগ্রাফি ও ভিজ্যুয়াল স্টোরিটেলিংয়ের জগতে নতুনত্ব যোগ করার প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করে আকিব খান লাবানা বলেন, ভবিষ্যতে তিনি সৃজনশীল ও উদ্ভাবনী কাজের মাধ্যমে আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনে আরও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রাখতে চান।
Akib Khan Labana, who was born in Sreemongal, Bangladesh, is participating as the editor for the teams group photographs and VIP guests in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Akib Khan Labana is the only son of Akram Khan and Begum Ayesha Talukder. His father is a businessman and also a well-known social and political figure in Bangladesh and France. Akib Khan is currently working as a photography and video editor at the renowned French advertising company “Memento Photo.”
Although born in Bangladesh, he grew up from childhood in the Hoche area of Paris. From an early age, he had a deep interest in photography. With the encouragement and inspiration of his parents, he pursued higher education in this field and established himself professionally.
Expressing his commitment to bringing innovation to the world of photography and visual storytelling, Akib Khan Labana said that in the future he hopes to make even more significant contributions on the international stage through creative and innovative work.
