🌿 A little update from The Poppy Patch 🌿
This is a post I’ve been putting off writing because, if I’m honest, The Poppy Patch means so much more to me than just a small business.
It began during one of the hardest periods of my life. Crafting gave me something to focus on when I was struggling and, little by little, helped me find pieces of myself again. What started as a way to keep my hands busy became something that gave me purpose, creativity, confidence and a little corner of the world that felt like mine.
Since then, The Poppy Patch has grown into more than I ever imagined. It has brought me wonderful customers, friendships, laughter, creativity and opportunities I never thought would come my way.
So this feels a little emotional.
On 24th August, I’ll be starting a new job, which means The Poppy Patch is going to have to change a little.
But this is not the end of The Poppy Patch. 🌿
My painted collection will be reduced due to changes with my main supplier, and lead times for these items will increase to approximately 4–6 weeks.
My main focus will now be on the parts of The Poppy Patch I love most:
🎨 Craft Club
🥂 Pastels & Profanities
🌿 The Memory Garden
And my heart will be poured into The Memory Garden.
After being awarded Take £500+ funding, I’m incredibly excited to develop workshops for bereaved mummies. Creating a safe, gentle space where women can come together, create something meaningful and remember their babies means more to me than I can put into words.
The Poppy Patch has been there for me through some incredibly difficult moments. It has given me something to build, something to be proud of and somewhere to find parts of myself I had forgotten were there.
So although it may look a little different, The Poppy Patch isn’t going anywhere.
The paint, the glitter, the creativity, the workshops, the swearing and the heart will all still be here. ✨
Thank you to everyone who has supported The Poppy Patch so far. Whether you’ve bought something, booked a workshop, shared a post or simply cheered me on, you have helped make this what it is.
I cannot wait to see what this next chapter brings. 💜🌿
