Finished my commission for a family of girls who wanted matching outfits for the summer. And wow. How CUTE! Malibu Bow dresses and a .patterns baby romper in floral and rainbow fabric. Love the detail in these outfits and the back of the Malibus is 😘

Lacking some motivation at the moment. Have plans for all sorts but no drive to do it. Although F is wearing a today and it’s given me a nudge. Looking into setting up my own website as Etsy fees are eye wateringly high now and the”handmade” element is getting more and more watered down - which is a shame. But I’d really need to up my social media if I try and do this alone … and yikes that scares me a bit. Anyway, I’m still here plugging away at orders and making for my kids.

Day 28 - low stock

I’m low in stock on so many of my hat fabrics which are experiencing high sales after the sunshine last week. I need to stock up on the favourites and also get some new patterns in too

Let me know in the comments what fabric patterns you would like to see next. I have some turtles that I need to list, but what else?!

Day 25 - workspace

I have my own little office at our new house but I’m yet to decorate it…. So this is it in all its blandness. It’s a cosy space with plenty of storage and room for the dog bed. But the curtains are awful as is the wallpaper. I got sent some samples from Lick (second pic) I think they are all a bit too busy for me. Need some inspiration. Would love a wall of pictures and small business art to inspire me so maybe a plainer block colour would be better.

Point me to any good inspiration accounts for home decor!!

Day 24 - milestone

I’m amazed at how busy my Etsy store is at the moment. 12 orders waiting for me to get on with in the evenings. When I set up the shop years ago I was amazed when I made a sale a month. And now look at me go! Busy bee!

I’ve now reached over 700 sales on Etsy alone. Wow. And I know it’s a cliche amongst small businesses. But every time my phone kerchings I do a little happy dance. Someone likes what I do. Amazing. Maybe one day I’ll film the happy dance. If I make it to 1000 sales ….

Day 23 - product range

My Etsy store only has about half of what o can make for people. I love it when I get bespoke requests and I think I need to find a way of advertising this more - maybe custom listings on Etsy or more on Instagram about what I can offer?

Day 22 - lessons\mistakes

Not a pretty picture today but I was wondering what to do for this prompt when this landed back on my doorstep. It should be in Dublin! What’s it doing back here?! Customs codes. A nightmare. I won’t say the B***it word (a rude word in this house 😅) But my goodness it’s a headache - and something I need to clearly clue up on if I’m going to continue offering overseas postage. Argh. The coding goes on forever and depends of age and size of child, type of clothing and more. Again … ARGH
