As much as I'm a proper old fashioned English tailor, I can't help but sometimes be mesmerised at how beautiful a job the Italians do with their casual cloths. Soft structure summer ensemble cut from Mare N704026 wool, silk and linen. Those unbelievably beautiful buttons and that awesome lining (as well as the silk buttonhole twist, as always) care of and it's finished off with a bespoke shirt in a blue and white Bengal stripe and a silk shantung tie and silk handkerchief from

.gill looking all Gatsby in his final look for the awards season at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, after a crazy run with Joker. This jacket is basically a re-imagining of my own dinner jacket, better suited for Leigh's proportions obviously. Nice wide peak lapels cut moderately high on the shoulder and with plenty of belly, single button (always) and with our signature slanted jetts. It was cut from 10oz wool panama and dressed with a bespoke marcella shirt, bespoke barathea dress trousers, white silk braces, silk bow and silk cummerbund. Vintage cool 😎 the world's best dressed small man hands down!

Been away for a couple of weeks but back in the thick of it now! Two sports jackets for a regular client - one in a very nice multicheck from with button-down patch pockets and the other in a beautiful colourful Donegal tweed from - all finished and ready for collection.

Strutting down the red carpet yesterday evening at the start of an incredible but very surreal night with the big man himself .gill who was donning that beautiful purple velvet dinner jacket for potentially the last time for a while, alongside a new bespoke white marcella dress shirt, bespoke barathea dress trousers and that beautiful dropped silk bow tie. I wore a vintage inspired bespoke cream jacket made from merino, bespoke double pleated dress trousers made from Smith Woollens Super Kid Mohair, a bespoke marcella dress shirt, our own 8.5cm silk bow tie and silk cummerbund, white moiré silk braces, handkerchief and Alderney wholecuts. Thanks to Leigh for the invitation, what a crazy night! And congrats to the whole Joker team for a well deserved 3 BAFTAs... Still think they were robbed on best make-up, best cinematography, best director and best film, but I might be a bit biased...

Re-sole, rejuvenation and glaçage on a lovely old pair of Oxford semi-brogues today, ready for collection on Monday. After a thorough clean with some Réno'Mat I used a mix of brown and burgundy Creme 1925 to bring some colour and lustre back into them followed by a subtle shine on the toecap using Amiral Gloss and medium brown wax polish.

The last pair of stock Valiant to receive a custom patina snatched up by a client last week. This time we chose an emerald green mixed from dyes and I gave it some subtle antiquing rather than a full on burnish. Finished with a light shine and toecap glacage care of some pate de luxe in medium brown. Unfortunately I didn't get a before shot but these started life in Barker's factory handpainted blue colour, which was stripped out of the leather using acetone and a lot of elbow grease!

Fighting off the cold today with my new green tweed suit. Cut from beautifully soft 11oz lambswool twill in Forest (PL375 2010/26) and finished with a very autumnal lining from I can tell already this is going to become a staple of my autumn/winter wardrobe, both as a suit and as separates. I'm doing 10% off commissions in all Moon cloths until the end of the year on both standard and fully handmade bespoke, so get in while the goings good!
