It gives you the chance to tell us all about yourself, your personal style, your lifestyle, and what makes you, you. That helps us narrow down our extensive eyewear collection to the styles that are most likely to suit your personality and feel authentic to who you are.

It’s also where we uncover your dominant Style Personality, or personalities, as most people naturally have a blend of a couple.

This is honestly our favourite part of the consultation. We get to know you on a much deeper level, which takes so much of the guesswork out of choosing eyewear. Instead of simply finding frames that suit your face, we help you find frames that truly feel like you.

Alan is another of our clients who travelled a little further afield after discovering us online and becoming intrigued by some of the independent eyewear collections we have here at Occhiali.

After chatting through Alan’s lifestyle, prescription and the styles and sizes that suited him best, we explored a selection of frames together. It wasn’t long before he was drawn to Vinylize, an eyewear brand based in Budapest that handcrafts frames from genuine vinyl records, giving them a completely new lease of life. It’s a concept that’s unlike anything else in the eyewear world.

The frame Alan chose is something particularly special. Crafted from original Rammstein vinyl records, it forms part of a limited edition collaboration celebrating one of Germany’s most iconic heavy metal bands. Just six unique designs were created, with only 160 of each produced, making these some of the rarest pieces Vinylize has ever made.

To complete Alan’s glasses, we paired the frame with bespoke varifocal lenses for seamless vision at every distance, along with photochromic lenses that darken outdoors and even behind the windscreen while driving. Combined with the large, chunky profile, straight brow line and angular shape, they also make an incredibly cool pair of sunglasses 👌🏻

The lovely Laura bought a super cool pair of everyday glasses from us last year and has since introduced both her husband and friends to Occhiali. We honestly couldn’t be more grateful for her continued support! 🫶🏻

With the recent spell of sunshine, Laura decided it was time to add a pair of prescription sunglasses to her collection 🌞 We recently shared a video showing that (almost) any frame can be transformed into sunglasses, including our optical frames, and Laura is the perfect example of just how well this can work 👏🏻

We paired her with this fabulous optical frame, fitted with brown polarised varifocal prescription lenses, and the result is simply stunning 😍 The large, rounded shape offers fantastic protection from the sun, while the slightly thicker part on the temples helps block light from the sides too. Stylish, practical and incredibly comfortable… Exactly what a great pair of sunglasses should be!👌🏻

The frame is aptly named Zig Zag, thanks to its distinctive zig-zag bridge. It’s a subtle design detail that transforms the frame from something ordinary into something interesting. That’s exactly the kind of eyewear we love here at Occhiali! 😉

When Nick was told he needed his first pair of glasses to help with near vision and everyday tasks, he booked a consultation through our website. Having discovered us on social media, he was more than happy to make the journey across the bridge from Edinburgh to explore the exciting, independent eyewear collections we offer.

During his personalised consultation, we chatted about everything from his personal style, preferred materials and colours, to finding the right size and the impression he wanted his eyewear to make. After trying on a range of options, Nick chose this beautiful blue Vinylize frame.

Each pair of Vinylize frames is handcrafted from reclaimed vinyl records, giving old records a completely new lease of life as truly unique pieces of eyewear. Nick initially thought he’d choose something in a more neutral colour, but he loved the subtle blue vinyl. It was the perfect way to introduce a touch of colour while still keeping the look understated and versatile.

This style, called Portis, features strong, angular lines that create a confident, masculine look. The result is a pair of glasses that feel professional when they need to, while still being completely distinctive with a brilliant story behind them.

To complete the look, we fitted Nick’s prescription lenses with a blue light filtering coating for added comfort during screen use. The subtle blue reflection complements the frame beautifully and ties the whole look together.

We think the finished result speaks for itself. Doesn’t Nick look fantastic? 😄

Some people collect shoes… Lori collects eyewear! 😍

With her incredible hair, vibrant personality and love of bold, expressive frames, Lori was always going to fit right in here at Occhiali. From the moment she discovered us earlier this year, it was the start of a wonderful relationship.

Already the owner of an amazing collection of vintage eyewear and pieces from independent designers, Lori appreciates quality and trusted us to help add even more personality to her wardrobe. Together we’ve built a collection that gives her the perfect frame for every occasion – from varifocals and occupational lenses to sunglasses, fashion tints and transitions, all in a range of colours and styles that work for her and truly reflect who she is.

She embraced trying absolutely everything on (our favourite kind of client!), although she definitely fell head over heels for our Vinylize collection. Handcrafted in Budapest from repurposed vinyl records, they’re the perfect combination of craftsmanship and sustainability in some awesome statement styles 🎶
