Life often takes an unexpected turn and the old routines get a bit messy until a new system is put in place. I apologise to all who follow this page for not being able to pay attention to the page.
Fabrics design, folk embroidery, handloom, and sustainable print techniques will always remain a passionate engagement in my academic life as an important part of the history of creative and artisanal cultural practices of India. Sarees and other items made painstakingly for weeks by artisans are not just a piece of cloth for me. I consider these as wearable art. This is why I am not planning to shut down the project. But since I have a day job now (which I love and which is very demanding), I decided to increase the research and exhibition focus of fabric design, embroidery and weaving process which will shift the focus a bit from the exclusive commercial side of SenS I started mainly as a business. SenS will still design, work closely with weavers and artisans, and sell items we design but these sales will be connected to showcasing and exhibition.
I'm still in the process of making a concrete plan. Once I finalise it, I'll be able to share more details. I am grateful for your support and I hope you will continue to support SenS in its future journey.
Lots of love to you all 🌹🌹
