🧼🏍️ Be honest — when did you last wash your motorcycle kit?

And spraying yourself with aftershave before a ride doesn’t count. 😂

Keith talks through how to wash your bike gear properly and, admittedly, he takes the scenic route getting there… but there’s plenty of useful stuff in this one, so it’s worth sticking with. 👍

Who knows, it might even persuade a few of you to wash that smelly old jacket before it develops a personality of its own. 🤢

Save this one for wash day — or send it to the mate whose riding kit enters the room five minutes before he does.

🏍️ Ever wondered why a proper touring jacket is shorter at the front and longer at the back?

No, Keith hadn’t dropped a tenner. He was crouching to show how the Alpinestars Andes Drystar sits when you’re actually in a riding position. 😂

The shorter front helps stop the jacket bunching up around your belly and against the tank, while the longer back maintains a good overlap with your motorcycle trousers when you lean forward. Your trousers should already come up high enough for proper coverage — the jacket and trousers are meant to work together, not leave a draughty no-man’s-land in the middle. 🌬️

🌧️ It’s a proper all-weather touring jacket, designed for riding rather than just standing around looking handsome in a shop. Keith attempted both.
