In my 20’s & 30’s I was working in the corporate world, I had a great job......
Well, great if you are quantifying by salary, car, bonus, pension……. But when you get to a certain level it’s not about the job you started doing, it becomes an endless stream of meetings, conference calls and justifying your existence. I was a foodie, a complete foodie, always have been, always will be. I didn’t want to sit in meetings and ‘discuss food’ …… I knew this, and I knew I needed a way out. I went to have long awaited knee operation and was told I was actually having a baby! This is when my world changed forever, I realised the existence I was living previously was not what I wanted for my child. It was only then that I had the courage to do something about it. I’m just cross that I hadn’t respected myself enough to have made this decision earlier. Daisy is the best thing that has even happened to me…..but she turned my world upside down, to a point where I wasn’t leaving the house much. I found solace in visiting my Mother in law at her shop……I felt comfortable there, Daisy could feed, sleep, puke, and it didn’t matter. So from visiting the shop on a Friday morning, to ‘watching the shop’ for a couple of hours, to running it a year later….I found my new way
Then I hit my mid 40’s I shaved my hair, dyed it blue and decided there was a gap in the market for a shop in Daventry! This is not quite true, I realised the part I loved about food was the people, the customers….. In a restaurant you have to judge immediately whether your customer requires a three course meal with wine, attentive service and all the trimmings, or if they would prefer privacy and as little interruption as possible. You just put it in to a different context and voila – IT’S ACTUALLY ALL ABOUT THE PEOPLE.

These Dungarees are the perfect wardrobe piece to ease you into autumn.

Brilliant with a T-shirt or vest underneath, equally gorgeous with a fitted mesh top, or throw a slouchy jumper over the top when it gets a bit chillier.

Trainers, flip-flops, boots… however you want to wear them, they just work. Stylish, comfy and so easy to wear. 💕

More will be arriving next week, but this will be our LAST order. They’re autumn stock and the supplier is already moving on to winter, so once they’re gone, they’re gone.
