Wirksworth author Daniel Henshaw will be joining the Wirksworth Book Festival at the Memorial Hall on Saturday 25 April.
A former primary school teacher, Daniel is the creator of five children’s books for ages 7–12, all centred around his much‑loved main character, Jeremy Green. His debut novel, The Great Snail Robbery, has been praised as “brilliant, funny and full of heart” — a perfect introduction to his warm, imaginative storytelling.
In 2016 one of Daniel's stories was shortlisted in the 'Best Novel for Children' category at the Wells Festival of Literature. A recording of his short story, 'Grandad's Ghost', was aired on BBC Radio in 2020.
Come along, say hello, and discover a fantastic local author.
